VAUDEVILLE CIRCUS CURSED, TOUR DELAYED
THE St. Louis Vaudeville Circus was struck by tragedy Tuesday afternoon. While travelling from St. Louis to Columbia, the troupe was accosted by a free-roaming Braggstyle homunculus coming from the south. The whole troupe was haunted by horrific illusions, causing mass panic. While there were no major casualties to the troupe, multiple horses fell dead from shock, a wagon filled with props was torqued, and moderate injuries were reported for performers Prospero, Campbell, and Dunham.
US Marshal 24 is currently investigating the presence of such a blasphemy this far north, with authorities concerned that a rogue Confederate wizard may be loose in the area. The homunculi has been put down, but for safety reasons, Columbia has been placed under federal lockdown until further notice and towns to the south including Ashland and New Bloomfield are advised to stay on alert until the Marshal has completed its full sweep of the area. Due to the damages caused by the encounter, the troupe has put its tour on hold for the time being. As Columbia is under lockdown, the troupe is temporarily squatting on land north of the city and will be putting on performances for the locals to make up for lost tour shows. Those in or near Centralia, Henshaw or Mexico are invited to see the show.
